A complete rubber kit is the fastest way to reseal a classic — but only if you order the right one. Here is how to get it right the first time.
A body rubber kit bundles every seal your car needs — doors, boot, bonnet, windscreen, quarter windows and more — into one pack matched to your exact model. It saves you sourcing a dozen individual parts, and it means every seal is fresh, so you are not chasing a new leak the week after fitting an old one.
Match the kit to the exact model and body style
Rubber profiles changed between series and even between sedan, wagon, ute and coupe body styles. An FX–FJ kit will not fit an FB–EK, and a sedan kit will not have the right rear glass seals for a wagon. Always order by your car’s series and body shape — if you are unsure, send us the build plate details and we will confirm the fit.
Check whether you want a standard kit or a "deluxe" kit that adds items like scraper/belt weatherstrips, bailey channel and boot/bonnet seals. Deluxe kits cost a little more but leave nothing on the shelf mid-restoration.
Buy once, fit once
Rubber is the cheap part of a restoration and the part everyone sees (and hears — wind noise) once the car is back on the road. Fitting fresh seals during a rebuild, while panels are off, is far easier than retrofitting later. Order the complete kit up front so you are not waiting on one back-ordered seal to finish the job.
